Grumman Greenhouse is a sculpture by Philadelphia artist Jordan Griska commissioned by the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts for the recently constructed Lenfest Plaza.
The Grumman S-2 Tracker was an anti-submarine aircraft in service with the US Navy from 1954 to 1976. Griska obtained the decommissioned plane and folded the metal of the nose and body so that it appears to be crumpling into the platform. He then fashioned some sections into working greenhouses.
